The beach of La Herradura is characterised by its horseshoe shape, which gives its name to the village. This makes it an excellent beach for swimming and enjoying the sea, as it is protected by cliffs, as well as by its crystal clear waters.

La Herradura is also a paradise for lovers of water activities, such as scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking or paddle surfing. This is due to the fact that it forms part of the Cliffs Natural Marine Site of Maro-Cerro Gordo, declared a Specially Protected Area by UNESCO.

It is considered one of the best places in Spain for scuba diving. In the village, you will find a multitude of companies, both for diving and for other activities such as kayaking, paddle surfing or windsurfing.
